City arms

The list of districts of Bogotá provides an overview of the development of the population of all districts of the Colombian capital Bogotá . The area, the population density and the location of the district in the city of Bogotá are also listed.

City structure

Bogotá is divided into 20 city districts ( localidades ) plus the capital district, so a total of 21:

• North: Suba and Usaquén
• South: Ciudad Bolívar, Rafael Uribe Uribe, San Cristóbal, Sumapaz, Tunjuelito and Usme
• West: Bosa, Engativá, Fontibón and Kennedy
• Center: Antonio Nariño, Barrios Unidos, Chapinero, La Candelaria, Los Mártires, Puente Aranda, Santa Fe, Teusaquillo and the Federal District of Bogotá

The population figures and information on the area in the following table are from the Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística (DANE) and refer to the censuses of October 24, 1973, October 15, 1985, October 24, 1993 and June 30, 2005.
