In 1882 the Helenenschacht was sunk in the (from 1921 cross-border) lignite mining district Brennberg (Brennbergbánya). The associated winding tower was walled in 1914/15 for safety reasons. In 1930 the Helenenschacht was shut down as a production shaft. In 1986 the shaft was backfilled by order of the district administration, the dilapidated headframe was acquired by private parties in 1991, restored and made accessible. |

Defensive wall and Karner ObjectID : 30688 |

The former cemetery and defensive wall with keyhole slits was built over a nine-cornered plan. The entrance gate is marked 1647 (dated). The Karner or the burial chapel of the aristocratic Tarnoczy family is a small rectangular gable building with a round arch portal and has a groin vault , which probably dates from the 16th century. |
