The parish church is located in the south-east of Waldenstein and is surrounded by a cemetery with a renewed wall. The Gothic pilgrimage church, later rebuilt several times, was originally laid out as a Romanesque east tower church, possibly in place of a former castle chapel. The square west tower dates from the second half of the 16th century. Its early baroque stone framing probably goes back to the second half of the 17th century. It has arched sound windows, a baroque cornice and a bell helmet. The nave, which is essentially Gothic, is pierced by arched windows from the first half of the 19th century. In the projecting transept and the choir from 1965, which is closed on three sides, the core of the cladding structures from 1837 and the two-bay choir from the end of the 14th / beginning of the 15th century are included.
