The Principality of Liechtenstein and the Federal Republic of Germany maintain close and friendly relations. There is no German embassy in Vaduz . Since 1992 is German Ambassador based in the Swiss Bern in Liechtenstein doppelakkreditiert .

A German honorary consul has been working in Schaan, Liechtenstein, since 2005 .

Liechtenstein, which has only a small diplomatic service, maintains an embassy with a resident ambassador in Berlin .
