List of Portuguese ambassadors in Honduras

The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Honduras lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Honduras . The two countries resumed their previous diplomatic relations in 1976.

A representative of Portugal was first accredited in Honduras in 1958. In 1958 Portugal opened its own legation (similar to an embassy ) in the Honduran capital Tegucigalpa , which however never became the full representation of Portugal in Honduras and was closed again a little later. Since the beginning of the relationship, Honduras has been part of the administrative district of the Portuguese Ambassador to Mexico , who is receiving second accreditation there .

An honorary consulate of Portugal has been set up in the Honduran capital Tegucigalpa .
