List of Portuguese ambassadors in Trinidad and Tobago
The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Trinidad and Tobago lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Trinidad and Tobago . The countries have had direct diplomatic relations since 1977.
In 1978 the first Portuguese ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, Portugal's representative with official residence in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, was accredited . Portugal did not open its own embassy in the local capital Port of Spain afterwards, the country continues to belong to the administrative district of the Portuguese embassy in Venezuela, whose head of mission is secondly accredited in Trinidad and Tobago (as of 2019).
