List of Portuguese ambassadors in the Dominican Republic

The list of the Portuguese Ambassador to the Dominican Republic lists the Ambassador of Portugal in the Dominican Republic on. The two states have had diplomatic relations since 1883. A Portuguese ambassador was first accredited there in 1947.

The country initially belonged to the administrative district of the Portuguese embassy in Venezuela. Between 1971 and 1973 Portugal briefly set up its own embassy in the Dominican capital Santo Domingo , and since then the Portuguese representation in Mexico has been responsible for the Dominican Republic.

There is a Portuguese honorary consulate in Santo Domingo .
