List of Portuguese ambassadors in Guatemala

The list of Portuguese ambassadors in Guatemala lists the ambassadors of the Republic of Portugal in Guatemala .

Portugal opened its own legation in the Guatemalan capital Guatemala City in 1914, which had already been opened as a consular mission. In 1966 it was decided to elevate the Legation to the status of an embassy , and a chargé d'affaires took up business there in 1969. In 1971 the agency in Guatemala City was closed and reopened in 1979. Since its renewed closure, Guatemala has again belonged to the administrative district of the Portuguese Ambassador to Mexico , who has been accredited for this purpose in Guatemala City since 1985 (as of 2019).

A Portuguese honorary consulate has been set up in the Guatemalan capital .
