Ludwig Ferdinand Hesse (architect) / Friedrich Wilhelm Dankberg (sculptor) 1851 (not preserved) The fountain sculpture made of cast zinc consisted of a capital-shaped base with a round top. A crowning boy kneeled on it and carried a small fountain bowl. The eponymous water-spouting frogs were grouped in a circle around the central fountain sculpture. Of the fountain removed shortly after 1900, only the round fountain basin is preserved.

1902 The fountain was built in memory of the sculptor Viktor Tilgner based on an original model from his estate. On a pedestal stands a bronze sculpture with two putti holding gargoyles in the shape of a fish or a goose. At the edge of the fountain basin there are four bronze sculptures depicting water-spouting frogs.
