This list of personalities of the municipality of Königheim shows the mayors, honorary citizens, sons and daughters of the municipality of Königheim and its districts (Königheim with the hamlet Weikerstetten , Brehmen , Gissigheim with the village Gissigheim, the hamlet Hof Esselbrunn and the houses Kettenmühle, Öl- und Sägmühle and Untere Mühle and Pülfringen with the village of Pülfringen and the hamlets of Hof Birkenfeld and Hof Hoffeld ), as well as other personalities who are associated with Königheim. Honorary citizen

The municipality of Königheim (or its current districts as formerly independent municipalities) granted honorary citizenship to the following people who have made a special contribution to the well-being or reputation of the municipality:

Honorary citizen of the old communities

  • Wilhelm Weigand (* 1862 in Gissigheim; † 1949), poet and writer (awarded in 1932 by the then still independent municipality of Gissigheim).

Honorary citizen of the Königheim community

  • Franz Gehrig (* 1915; † 2012 in Königheim), Catholic priest and local history researcher (awarded 1985).
  • Josef Blaschke († 2016), honorary citizen of the Königheim community, died at the age of 96. For many years he was the managing director of the Kärcher company in Gissigheim, a former local councilor of Königheim, a supporter of the clubs, filmmaker and photographer at local events.

  • Lorenz Kap (p) ler (* 1765 in Königheim), education professor at the Universities of Ingolstadt and Landshut.

19th century

  • Carl Höfer (* 1819 in Brehmen; † 1849), a leading campaigner of Friedrich Hecker in the Baden Revolution of 1848/49. Executed on August 16, 1849.
  • Gottfried Bauer (* in Gissigheim; † 1849), Baden revolutionary , shot in Rastatt on October 4, 1849.
  • Albert Schmitt SJ (* 1871 in Gissigheim; † 1948), professor of theology in Innsbruck.
  • Johannes Künzig (* 1897 in Pülfringen; † 1982), folklorist and founder of the Johannes Künzig Institute for East German Folklore in Freiburg.
