This list of personalities of the city of Wertheim shows the mayors, honorary citizens, sons and daughters of the city of Wertheim .
The urban area of Wertheim consists of the core city, 15 localities ( Bettingen , Dertingen , Dietenhan , Dörlesberg , Grünenwört , Höhefeld , Kembach , Lindelbach , Mondfeld , Nassig , Reicholzheim with Bronnbach , Sachsenhausen , Sonderriet , Urphar and Waldenhausen ) each with their own local administration and one Mayor as well as 6 districts ( Besteheid , Besteheider Höhe , Eichel / Hofgarten , Reinhardshof , Vockenrot and Wartberg ) each with a district advisory board and a district advisory board chairman . The 15 localities are formerly independent municipalities that were not incorporated into Wertheim until the territorial reform of the 1970s.

According to the city's statutes, the number of honorary citizens should not exceed four living people. The following people, who have made a special contribution to the good or reputation of the municipality, have been granted honorary citizenship:
