Liu Qing ( Chinese  劉慶  /  刘庆 , Pinyin Liú Qìng ; born February 25, 1996 ) is a Chinese ice hockey player who was last under contract with China Dragon in the Asia League Ice Hockey .

Career

Liu Qing began his career as an ice hockey player in an amateur team from Qiqihar , for which he played in the Chinese ice hockey league since 2010 and with which he became Chinese champion in 2013. At the age of 17 he moved to China Dragon , the only Chinese professional team at the time, for which he played four years in the Asia League ice hockey . When the team was disbanded in 2017, he was then without a club.

International

For China , Liu Qing took part in the junior division at the U18 World Championships in Division II in 2011 and 2012 and in Division III in 2013 as well as in the U20 Junior World Championships in Division III in 2013 and 2015 , when he was the top scorer and together with his compatriot Li Hang he was also the top scorer was voted the best player of his team and participated in Division II 2014 . He also represented his colors in 2012 at the U20 tournament of the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia and at the Skills Challenge of the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games .

In the senior division, the defender was in China's squad at the Division II World Championships in 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 and 2017 . He also represented his colors at the Winter Asian Games 2017 and the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .
