Livio Paladin

Livio Paladin (born November 30, 1933 in Trieste , † April 2, 2000 in Padua ) was an Italian lawyer , minister for EEC affairs and chairman of the Italian Constitutional Court .

Life and professional activities

Paladin studied law at the University of Rome with the constitutional law teacher Carlo Esposito and Vezio Crisafulli . He later taught constitutional law at the universities of Trieste and Padua .

On June 23, 1977, President Giovanni Leone Paladin appointed judge of the Constitutional Court , which he presided over from July 3, 1985 to July 1, 1986.

Paladin was a non- party minister for regional and EEC affairs in the Fanfani VI (April – July 1987) and Ciampi (April 1993 – May 1994) governments.
