Ljiljana Winkler

Ljiljana Winkler (born May 6, 1981 in Banja Luka , Bosnia and Herzegovina ) is a Bosnian opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Winkler graduated with honors from the University of Music in Belgrade in the class of Radmila Smiljanic. Ljiljana Winkler continued her vocal training in the class of Yaron Windmüller at the Saar University of Music in Germany.

Winkler completed various master classes with singers and pianists such as Barbara Bonney, Sona Ghazarian, Ilena Cotrubas, Hans-Peter Blokwitz, Dalton Baldwin, Irwin Gage, Rudolf Piernay, Paul Hamburger and Robin Bowman. She studied song design in the class of Irwin Gage and Esther de Bros at the Saar University of Music. Ljiljana Winkler's artistic spectrum ranges from early music to contemporary works. As part of the opera school, she embodied the roles of Adele ( Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss ), Rosina ( La finta semplice by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ) and Ms. Jessel ( The Turn of the Screw by Benjamin Britten ).

She began her artistic career in June 2007 with the role of Ti from the opera Kommander Kobayashi by Moritz Eggert and Ricardas Kabelis at the Saarland State Theater . Ljiljana Winkler gave a guest performance at the Theater National du Luxembourg in December 2008 . There she embodied the role of the jam seller and the king's daughter in the opera The Brave Little Tailor by Wolfgang Mitterer . As Solvejg in the Suite Peer Gynt by Edvard Grieg , she performed in September 2009 with the Landes-Jugend-Symphonie-Orchester in the Congresshalle Saarbrücken, in St. Wendel and at the "Euroklassik" festival in Hornbach .

With the Belgian orchestra under the direction of the conductor Andre Walschaerts (Golden Symphonic Orchestra) she sang in the concert series "Wiener Parade 2009" at the State Theater Mechelen. With the Märkisches Jugendsinfonieorchester under the direction of conductor Carolin Nordmeyer , she sang as a soloist at the New Year's concerts in January 2010 in Werdohl, Schwerte, Lüdenscheid and Morsbach.

In August 2011, Ljiljana Winkler played the role of the nightingale from the opera Die Nachtigall at the Chamber Opera Konstanz. In December 2011 she sang the role of Bettine in the opera Kein Ort Nirgends by Anno Schreier within the “Young Opera Company” in Freiburg . In 2012 she played the role of Mi in the operetta Das Land des Smiles by Franz Lehár in the operetta production of the Vienna Operetta Summer.

In the opera jealousy of Sophie Gail Ljiljana Winkler played the role of Lucie. As Marianna Gardi she was in the opera So lucky! (Une Bonne Fortune) by Adolphe Adam . Both operas were performed at the Neuburg Chamber Opera in 2013 . Ljiljana Winkler has a concert activity with chamber music ensembles (Trio Cantatre, Trio Kalliope).

She performed several times at the thematic concert series “The Long Night of Art” organized by the city of Augsburg. She gave recitals, u. a in Augsburg (Park Theater Göggingen, Schätzler Palais, Rokoko Saal, Goldener Saal), Munich, Belgrade, Saarbrücken, Berlin, London, Banjaluka and Freiburg. In the opera production in 2014 of the Young Opera Company Freiburg Ljiljana Winkler played the role of the evil maid of honor from the opera The Three Riddles of Detlev Glanert .

Ljiljana Winkler is a lecturer in singing at the University of Augsburg and was a member of the Tonkünstlerverband .

Winkler speaks German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Croatian.
