Lockhausen is located north of the B 65 about one kilometer northeast of Bad Essen.

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1075. On December 1, 1910, Lockhausen had 390 inhabitants. On July 1, 1972, the municipality , which had previously been part of the Wittlage district, was incorporated into the new municipality of Bad Essen as part of the regional reform .

Ippenburg Castle is in the north of the Lockhausen district .
