Lodares is a municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Lousada . It has 2002 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

history

The community was probably formed during the resettlement after the Reconquista . In the royal surveys of 1258 , the place is then already noted as an independent municipality.
