Logan MacMillan (born July 5, 1989 in Charlottetown , Prince Edward Island ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Calgary Flames from the National Hockey League since June 2010 and for their farm team , the Abbotsford Heat , in the American Hockey League plays. He is the son of Robers 'Bob' MacMillan , who played in the NHL for years. His brother Cole MacMillan and their uncle Billy MacMillan were also ice hockey players, the latter even becoming a one-time NHL Stanley Cup champion during his career .
Career
Logan MacMillan began his career as a hockey player in the 2005/06 season with Halifax Mooseheads in the junior league QMJHL , where he scored 18 points in 62 games. In the following season he played 68 games and reached 55 points scorer. During the NHL Entry Draft 2007 he was selected in the first round in 19th position by the Anaheim Ducks . Until MacMillan switched to the Rimouski Océanic in 2008 , he completed a total of 191 games for the Mooseheads, in which he scored 124 points. MacMillan ran in 41 games for Rimouski, in which he scored 27 points.
The attacker was added to the squad of the Bakersfield Condors , with whom he played in the ECHL , at the beginning of the 2009/10 season . On June 30, 2010, the Anaheim Ducks gave it to the Calgary Flames in exchange for Jason Jaffray . They then sent him to the farm team for the Abbotsford Heat in the AHL, where the winger was regularly used.
