Lohndorf is a district of the municipality of Litzendorf in the Bamberg district .
The village is located in the middle of the Ellertal and the Fränkische Strasse der Skulpturen , created in 1994 . Today about 385 people live in the village.
To the north of Lohndorf, at the foot of the Stammberg ridge, there is the beginning of a historic aqueduct (“Red Door”) that supplied Seehof Castle .
Two breweries are located in Lohndorf. Together with the brewery in the neighboring town of Tiefenellern, there are three breweries for every 600 people, one of the largest brewery densities in the world.
On May 1, 1978, the previously independent community of Lohndorf was dissolved and incorporated into Litzendorf.
