Lorenzo Frizzera
Lorenzo Frizzera (born May 6, 1972 in Rovereto ) is an Italian guitarist.
Live and act
As a teenager, he began transcribing the music of important jazz musicians such as Charlie Parker , Miles Davis , John Coltrane and guitarists such as Pat Metheny , John Scofield , Mike Stern and Bill Frisell . He obtained his diploma from the Centro Professione Musica in Milan . At a workshop he worked with Pat Metheny, who recommended him to become a professional musician. He initially worked as a session musician with pop musicians such as Anna Oxa , Tullio De Piscopo , Enzo Jannacci, on the other hand with The Rhythm Factory and Horanueva , bands with which he deepened his studies of ethnic music. In 2002 he turned back to jazz and played with Alberto Marsico's Organ Logistics . In 2006 he represented Italy at the international jury of the European Guitar Awards , with Ralph Towner as judge.
He also worked with Jimmy Cobb , Joey DeFrancesco , Stefano Bollani , Paolino Dalla Porta , Stefano Battaglia and Ares Tavolazzi . In 2008 he formed the Lorenzo Frizzera Trio with Heiko Jung and Matthias Eichhorn and recorded the album Everything Can Change . He also works in the experimental duo Godzilla in Wonderland with drummer Carlo Alberto Canevali.
instrumentation
In addition to traditional instruments, he uses live electronics, real-time samples and computer- played loops . The prepared guitar is also used: objects (screws, adhesive tape, springs, pieces of rubber, cork or aluminum) are inserted between the strings in order to generate unusual noises.
