Louis Naumann

Heinrich Wilhelm Louis Naumann (born July 10, 1845 in Seehausen , † February 2, 1925 in Naumburg ) was a German Protestant pastor and historian .

Life

Louis Naumann was born as the son of the pharmacist Louis Naumann in Seehausen. After high school he studied theology in Halle (Saale) . In 1871 he became pastor in Schnellroda . In 1882 he was appointed pastor to Eckartsberga. There he became superintendent in 1884. In 1910 he resigned from his position due to illness and moved to Naumburg, where he worked until the end of his life. He was buried on February 6, 1925 in the Eckartsberga forest cemetery.

Act

Naumann scientifically researched the history of the region on the Finne , around Eckartsberga and Naumburg. His literature is still relevant to regional science today.
