Luca Bercovici (* 22. February 1957 in New York City as Luca Bercovici Josef ) is an American actor and director .

Life and accomplishments

Luca Bercovici's father, the screenwriter and director Eric Bercovici , is of Romanian - Jewish descent. Luca's mother comes from an Italian family. Bercovici grew up in Rome , London , New York City and California . He attended the College of the Redwoods , Santa Monica College, and Loyola Marymount University .

Bercovici made his debut in 1979 in one of the leading roles in the television film Flesh & Blood , for which his father wrote the script. Tom Berenger , John Cassavetes and Denzel Washington played alongside him in this drama . In the science fiction horror film The Killer Parasite (1982) he appeared in one of the larger roles alongside Demi Moore . He played the leading role in the drama For Love and Honor (1983), in the other roles David Caruso and Yaphet Kotto could be seen. In the thriller Stranger Shadows (1990) he played alongside Melanie Griffith , Matthew Modine and Michael Keaton . In the television series Flatland (2002) he was seen alongside Dennis Hopper .

He has also directed various films, including Rockula (1990), Hot Nights in Paradise (1994) and Death in Large Bills (2000).
