Reviews

Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun-Times on August 16, 1985 that the film told the story of cycling as well as that of the "worn out" relationships within the broken family. This is too much all at once and leaves many questions unanswered. The plot was constructed in such a way that the characters' crises would reach their climax at the end - which the critic described in a word that he himself censored a part of. Ebert praised the images of the bike race and the portrayal of Rae Dawn Chong.

The lexicon of international films wrote that the film was "a respectable entertainment film with interesting, believable characters, relaxed dialogues and a fundamentally serious topic" .

backgrounds

The film was shot in Missouri , Kansas and Colorado against the backdrop of the Coors International Bicycle Classic . It grossed approximately $ 1.4 million in US cinemas .
