David Caruso
David Stephen Caruso (born January 7, 1956 in Forest Hills , Queens , New York City ) is an American actor .
Life
Caruso grew up as a child of Italian and Irish parents. He graduated from Archbishop Molloy High School in Briarwood, Queens, New York.
David made his debut in 1976 in the pilot of the short-lived series Archie . Dissatisfied with his performance, the production hired a new actor, Dennis Bowen , who then shot all the scenes again. In 1982 he played the role of Mitch, the deputy sheriff in Rambo . In 1986 he made a small appearance in the music video of the song Voyage, voyage (1986), by the French singer Desireless .
One of his first film appearances was the role of topper Daniels in An Officer and a Gentleman ( 1982 ). In the following decade he was mainly seen in supporting roles. His breakthrough came in 1993 on the NYPD Blue television series . Just a year later, Caruso left the series to pursue an ambitious film career. Aside from starring in Jade and Kiss of Death (both 1995), he was only offered a few attractive roles.
In the USA and in German-speaking countries, Caruso was best known from 2002 to 2012 as Lieutenant Horatio Caine from the television series CSI: Miami . In the series NYPD Blue , Michael Hayes - For Law and Justice , CSI: On the trail of the perpetrators , CSI: NY and CSI: Miami , he is dubbed by Lutz Mackensy . Caruso is a co-owner of the Steam on Sunset furniture and clothing store in Miami , Florida .
Marriages and offspring
Caruso has been married three times and has three children. His three wives were Cheri Maugans (1979-1984), Rachel Ticotin (1984-1987) and Margaret Buckley (1996-2005). From the marriage with Rachel Ticotin the daughter Greta was born in 1984 . During her marriage to Margaret Buckley in 2004, a relationship with Liza Marquez developed that resulted in two more children, a son and a daughter and which lasted until 2007. He has been in a relationship with Amina Tyrone since 2008 .
