action

In San Francisco living Attorney David Corelli attended a party with his friends Trina and Matt Gavin when he is called on duty. He is supposed to solve the murder of a multimillionaire. In his safe he finds photos of the Governor of California in intimate situations.

Soon Corelli is on the trail of a Call Girl -ring. One of the women bears the pseudonym "Jade". The public prosecutor finds that the prostitute is his childhood friend Trina, who is now suspected of murder. Trina visits Corelli in his apartment and tries to seduce him; another murder occurs during this time. Corelli now knows that Trina is innocent and in danger. Together with Matt Gavin, he comes at the last minute to save her from two attackers. The murderers are shot. They turn out to be employees of the judiciary.

Corelli visits the governor and warns him of further attacks and threatens to publish the photos. Shortly afterwards, Trina finds more compromising photos, which Matt lays out in the shared apartment. He admits that he took the photos with him when he murdered the multimillionaire. Matt asks Trina to show a little more of "Jade" in their intimate hours together.

Reviews

The retrospective evaluation of the North American film reviews on Rotten Tomatoes shows a largely negative reception of the film with only 13% positive reviews.

“Screenwriter Joe Eszterhas, highly paid for provocative Sex & Crime scenarios ( Basic Instinct (1992), Showgirls (1995)), sinks his characters into loveless formulas. Particularly regrettable because it means that Linda Fiorentino, one of the erotic icons of the 90s since The Last Seduction (1994), trips through this barely concealed basic instinct like a somnambulistic sex Barbie doll . "

"Subjective camera work and lightning-fast cuts give Jade suspense."

"The result is a cool designer piece, which Andrzej Bartkowiak's camera gives a morbid shine."
