Donna Murphy (born March 7, 1959 in Corona , Queens , New York City , New York ) is an American actress .

Life

Donna Murphy grew up in Hauppauge, Long Island and Topsfield, Massachusetts . In addition to a highly acclaimed career in the theater , which has earned her two Tony Awards so far , she has also appeared in numerous Hollywood films and television series such as CSI: Vegas , Law & Order and Ally McBeal .

Murphy was married to actor and singer Shawn Elliott from 1990 until his death and lives in New York.
