Career

Chevalier-Girod, who started for Les Rousses, competed in his first World Cup competition on December 10, 1994 in Planica, Slovenia . He finished jumping on the normal hill in 22nd place. In the team competition at the World Cup in Lahti on January 28, 1995, he finished seventh together with Jérôme Gay , Nicolas Dessum and Didier Mollard . On February 12, 1995, he achieved 11th place on the large hill in the World Cup competition in Oslo, the best individual ranking of his career in a World Cup competition.

At the Junior World Championships in 1995 in Gällivare he won the bronze medal on the normal hill on March 1, 1995. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1995 in Thunder Bay , Canada , he was 25th on the normal hill, 30th on the large hill and fourth in team jumping. In the following seasons he could rarely jump into the top 30. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1997 in Trondheim , he was only able to achieve 49th place on the normal hill and only 30th place on the large hill. He was not nominated for the team competition. Even two years later, he was unable to improve his performance and at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein, Austria, he only came 30th on the normal hill and 41st on the large hill.

After another year and only mediocre results in the lower field of points or outside the points, he ended his active ski jumping career after jumping on December 5, 1999 in the Italian Val di Fiemme .
