Lucia Joas (* as Lucia Anger on January 26, 1991 in Oberstdorf ) is a German cross-country skier .

Career

Lucia Joas lives in Oberstdorf and starts for the Oberstdorf Ski Club . The customs officer is part of the customs ski team . She contested her first FIS races in January 2007, followed by other races in the juniors and in the cross-country Alpine Cup . The first international championship was the 2008 Junior World Championships in Malles , where Joas won bronze medals in the freestyle sprint and the 5-kilometer classic. A year later she reached three single-digit placements in Praz de Lys Sommand , with the relay she won bronze again. Shortly afterwards she won the silver medal at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2009 in Szczyrk over the 5-kilometer classic. In Beitostølen she denied on the side of Nicole Fessel , Denise Herrmann and Monique Siegel in November 2009 with a relay race her first race in the FIS Cross-Country World Cup and was in the relay Germany II 17. In March 2010, followed in Drammen at a sprint, the first single use in the World Cup, where she failed as 40th in the qualification. In the Marathon Cup race three days later in Samedan , Anger finished tenth. In December 2010, she won a freestyle sprint in Düsseldorf for the first time as 25th World Cup points. At the Junior World Championships in 2011 in Otepää , she won the sprint title and relay bronze. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 , she was 42nd in the 10-kilometer classic and 43rd in the freestyle sprint. In Szklarska Poreba , Anger finished 20th in a freestyle sprint race, her best position in the highest racing series so far. Anger was used in the sprint at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi . As 31st in qualification, she missed the final races by one place.

In 2009 Joas won the national title over 5 kilometers and in the team sprint, in 2011 in the sprint.
