Lucie Charvátová started as a cross-country skier for CKS SKI Jilemnice . Her first lower-class international cross-country skiing races she contested towards the end of 2009. The first career highlight was her participation in the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2011 in Liberec , where she was 13th in the classic sprint and 19th in the 5-kilometer freestyle. This was followed by the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2012 in Erzurum , where Charvátová was 31st in the freestyle sprint and 47th in the 5-kilometer classic. In 2013 she was 16th in the classic sprint and the 5-kilometer freestyle as well as ninth in the relay in Liberec. The first highlight for women was the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme . Charvátová missed the final races as 51st in the classic sprint and was 12th with the relay. She came to her only World Cup race in Liberec in 2013 , where she and Petra Novaková finished 21st in the freestyle team sprint.
Since the desired success in cross-country skiing did not materialize, Charvátová switched to biathlon for the 2013/14 season and has since competed for SKP Kornspitz Jablonec nad Nisou . Here she made her international debut at the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2013 in Forni Avoltri and reached 12th place in the sprint and nine in the pursuit. She contested her first women's race at the beginning of the winter season in the IBU Cup in Idre . In the first sprint she was 62nd, in the second sprint a day later she won first points as 33rd. In Beitostølen , she improved her personal best to 14th place, whereupon a week later she was called up to the then very strong Czech World Cup team. On her debut in the relay race of Le Grand-Bornand , Charvátová reached tenth place on the side of Veronika Vítková , Eva Puskarčíková and Gabriela Soukalová as the final runner of the relay. In the sprint race, she missed the pursuit race by ten places in 70th place, as she made three mistakes in the standing position under good conditions.
