Ludvig Rensfeldt (born January 29, 1992 in Gävle ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been playing at Timrå IK in the Svenska Hockeyligan since 2018 .

Career

Ludvig Rensfeldt started his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Brynäs IF . As a junior player, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2010 in the second round as the 35th player by the Chicago Blackhawks and in the KHL Junior Draft 2010 in the first round as the 23rd player by Salawat Yulayev Ufa , but initially stayed with his home club . For the professional team of Brynäs IF he made his debut in the Elitserien , the top Swedish league, in the 2010/11 season . In his rookie year , he prepared a goal in a total of 21 games. He also scored seven scorer points, including five goals, in his eleven appearances as a loan player for the Bofors IK from the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan .

For the 2011/12 season Rensfeldt moved to the Sarnia Sting from the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey League .

In 2014 he returned to Sweden and was signed by Rögle BK , with whom he was promoted to Svenska Hockeyligan in 2015 . In 2018 he moved to Timrå IK within the SHL .

International

For Sweden , Rensfeldt took part in the U18 Junior World Championship in 2010 , where he and his team won the silver medal. He was also voted one of the top three players on his team during the tournament.
