Ludwig Beckhaus (administrative lawyer)

Ludwig Beckhaus (born June 22, 1887 in Hofgeismar ; † November 11, 1957 in Bremen ) was a German administrative lawyer. In the Free State of Prussia he was district administrator.

Life

Beckhaus was the second son of Ludwig Friedrich Franz Beckhaus , district administrator and later vice-president of the audit office of the German Empire . He studied law at the University of Grenoble , the Georg-August University in Göttingen and the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin . In 1907 he became active in the Corps Bremensia Göttingen . The University of Jena doctorate him in 1913 to Dr. iur.

From 1923 to 1929 he was district administrator in the Lennep district in the Rhine Province . In May 1930 he was a deputy district administrator in the Ostprignitz district . Then he was for 15 years, from 1930 to 1945, district administrator in the district of Köslin in the province of Pomerania . From 1951 to 1956 he worked in the Bremen Evangelical Church as deputy head of the church chancellery.
