Ludwig Blum

Ludwig Blum , also Hubert Franz Anton Blum (* July 12, 1814 in Zingsheim , † May 29, 1873 in Cologne ) was a German pastor, civil servant and politician.

Life

Ludwig Blum attended grammar school in Münstereifel and studied Catholic theology in Bonn . He attended the seminary in Cologne and was ordained a priest in 1839. After that he was initially an auxiliary pastor in Düren . In 1840 he was repetent in the Catholic convent in Bonn and in 1843 pastor in Dürboslar . There he was also director of the local agricultural association. From 1865 he was government councilor and school councilor in Cologne .

Blum was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1862 to 1864 and from 1867 to 1869 . From 1867 to 1871 he was also a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency of Cologne 3 ( Bergheim (Erft) , Euskirchen ). In this capacity he was also a member of the Customs Parliament . He belonged to the Free Conservative Party .
