Ludwig Noé

Ludwig Noé (born October 3, 1871 in Zweibrücken , † April 19, 1949 in Zug) was a German industrialist and politician.

Life

Noé attended secondary school in Zweibrücken and studied at the Technical University in Karlsruhe , where he passed his engineering exam. He began his professional career at the Dingler machine factory in Zweibrücken . In 1898 he moved to Rudolf Diesel's company in the Augsburg diesel engine factory, in 1901 to Hanomag (Hannoversche Lokomotivfabrik) in Hanover and in 1905 as chief engineer at Friedr. Krupp Germania shipyard in Kiel. In 1910 he became director of the Aschersleben machine factory and in 1919 general director of Danziger Werft und Eisenbahnwerkstätten AG , from 1932 temporarily: The International Shipbuilding and Engineering Company Limited . In Danzig Noé was also appointed full professor at the Technical University . His brother Hermann Noë was the director of F. Schichau GmbH (Schichau shipyard) in Danzig.

He was a member of the board of the Association of German Mechanical Engineering Institutions and the Shipbuilding Society .

Noé was a member of the Gdansk People's Day for the German Democratic Party from 1920 to 1924 and was the Finnish Consul General in the Free City of Gdansk . He was also a delegate of the Free City of Danzig to the League of Nations in Geneva. In the Senate I Sahm he was from 1920 to 1921 Senator for state enterprises.
