The Luhe is an approximately 26 km long left tributary of the Naab in the Upper Palatinate Forest , Bavaria ( Germany ).

course

It rises near the hamlet of Wampenhof near Waldthurn , flows through Waldthurn, Roggenstein , Kaimling , past Michldorf and Leuchtenberg and through Lückenrieth and Luhe -arkt. There it flows into the Naab.

Because of the steep slope, many mills and hammers were built along the course of the river .

fauna

Because the areas of the catchment area are used almost exclusively for agriculture, the water of the Luhe is of high quality, so that there are many species of fish as well as crabs and mussels.

The most important tributaries are the Trausenbach, the Leraubach (Lerau) and the Gleitsbach.
