Luise Ermisch (née Thürmer ; * May 20, 1916 in Halle / Saale ; † January 17, 2001 in Mühlhausen ) was a German activist and politician ( SED ). She was a candidate for the Politburo and a member of the Central Committee of the SED and was a member of the GDR State Council .

Life

Ermisch, daughter of a butcher, was trained as a dressmaker from 1930 to 1933 . She was then initially unemployed and then worked as a seamstress from 1937 to 1939. During the war she was conscripted as a welder until 1945 .

After the war she worked as a seamstress at VEB Hallesche Kleidwerke. In 1947 she became a member of the Free German Trade Union Federation (FDGB). In 1949, Ermisch attended the FDGB district school in Halle and the technical college in Neugersdorf . She became a member of the works union leadership and co-founder of the First Brigade of Excellent Quality and was recognized as an activist . In 1950 she joined the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED).

From 1954, the Luise-Ermisch method developed by her for the breakdown of plans was propagated in the context of socialist competition. The operating plan was broken down for each individual brigade and worker and product indicators for quality were determined. When invoicing in the competition, the quantity and quality were then assessed and the result used as the basis for awards.

From 1951 to 1971 Ermisch was the manager of the Hallesche Kleidwerke, then until her retirement in 1976 of the VEB Bekleidungswerke Mühlhausen . In 1966, she earned a degree in clothing industry engineering through distance learning. From 1966 to 1970 she acted as chairwoman of the social council of VVB Konfektion.

From 1950 to 1981 she was a member of the People's Chamber , from 1954 to 1981 a member of the Central Committee (ZK), from 1958 to 1963 a candidate in the Politburo of the Central Committee of the SED and from 1960 to 1963 a member of the State Council of the GDR. In 1960 she attended the party college of the CPSU in Moscow .

Awards

Ermisch was awarded the title Hero of Labor in 1950, the Labor Banner in 1955, the Bronze Patriotic Order of Merit in 1966 and the Karl Marx Order in 1976.
