Luke Johne

Lukas Johne (born December 5, 1981 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor , singer and director .

Life

Johne grew up in Lower Austria. From 2006 to 2011 he studied philosophy in Vienna and Nice. At the same time, he attended Elfriede Ott's drama school in Vienna from 2006 to 2009 . During his drama school days he was already employed at the Easter Festival in Salzburg and at various off-theaters such as the Neue Tribüne Vienna . In 2008 he produced his first play, a version of Fight Club, in which he played the role of the narrator in the oldest madhouse in continental Europe, the Fool's Tower . From 2010 to 2011 he was seen as "Rocky" in the "Rocky Horror Show" at the Tiroler Landestheater . In 2013 he played the role of Alain in Wastwater by Simon Stevens at the Vienna Akademietheater . In 2013 he played Marcel Cerdan in The Boxer and the Violinist , which he also directed for the first time. He appeared in several other off-theaters, as well as with his own chanson program Laute (r) (Un) pathetic (love) songs . Since 2011 he has also worked in film and television productions. He works as a translator and screenwriter and lives in Vienna and London, where he a. a. for the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design . In 2019 he founded the “Culture. Summer retreat. Puchberg am Schneeberg ”, a bilingual festival for contemporary theater in southern Lower Austria.
