Luminosa Bogliolo gained her first international experience in 2017 at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz , Poland , where she made it to the semi-finals in the 100-meter hurdles and was eliminated there with 13.50 seconds. Also at the Summer Universiade in Taipei she was eliminated with 13.99 s in the semifinals and could not finish the final run with the Italian 4 x 100 meter relay. In 2018 she won the silver medal behind the Croatian Andrea Ivančević at the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona in 13.30 seconds and thus qualified for the European Championships in Berlin , where she was eliminated in the semifinals with 13.09 seconds. In 2019 she took part in the 60-meter hurdles at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow and was eliminated there with 8.11 seconds in the semi-finals. In July, she won the Student World Games in Naples at home in 12.79 s and thus qualified for the World Championships in Doha in the fall, where she was eliminated in the semifinals after 12.80 s in the lead with 13.06 s.
In 2018 and 2019 Bogliolo became Italian champion in the 100-meter hurdles and in 2019 also indoor champion over 60-meter hurdles.
