Lupsingen is a municipality in the Liestal district of the canton of Basel-Landschaft in Switzerland .

Lupsingen is located in a shallow basin of a side valley of the Oristal about 3 kilometers southwest of the canton capital Liestal .

The municipality of Lupsingen borders in the northeast on Seltisberg , in the east on Bubendorf , in the south on Ziefen and Seewen ( SO ), in the west on Büren (SO) and in the north on Nuglar-St. Pantaleon (SO).

history

The first documented mention of Lupsingen comes from 1194 as Lubesingin .

Trivia

Lupsingen has had its own Gugge since 2012 , the "Lupo-Rueche" with currently 36 members.
