Giebenach ( Swiss German Gibenach ) is a municipality in the district of Liestal in the canton of Basel-Landschaft in Switzerland .

Giebenach is 315  m above sea level. M. in Violental . Giebenach is served by the AAGL line 83 from the canton capital Liestal and Augst / Pratteln and by the Postbus line 99 from Olsberg . Its neighboring communities are Arisdorf , Füllinsdorf , Augst and the Aargau communities Kaiseraugst and Olsberg .

The village of Gibennacho was first mentioned in 1246. The village consisted mainly of two farms.
