The Lustbach is a little over three kilometers long brook on the edge of and in the Oberfischach district of the municipality of Obersontheim in the district of Schwäbisch Hall in northeastern Baden-Württemberg , which flows into the upper Fischach from the right and west between the towns of Herlebach and Oberfischach .

geography

course

The Lustbach arises opposite the Muselmoor forest a little east of the coal road near the joint exit of two larger forest paths from this, including the so-called Oberfischacher Weg, at about 492  m above sea level. NHN . The stream flows steadily approximately east-northeast, initially between the Oberfischacher Weg, which runs on the ridge in front of the upper Rotbach in the south, and the forest swamp in the north, later between the forest level in the north and the Pfingsthalde in the south, where it also runs on the edge of the approximately hectare-sized Hasenweide forest meadow passes through two fish ponds with a total size of around 0.2 ha.

About two kilometers below its origin, it leaves below 420  m above sea level. NHN the forest and then runs in a valley hollow less than 20 meters deep, in which it is mainly accompanied by meadows. In doing so, he first passes the Hundsrücke above its northern slope, a heather-like hill defined by dry grass and loosely standing pine trees. Coming from here, a hiking trail coming from Lotthaus and running on an agricultural path to Oberfischach crosses it. Further down, it crosses under the district road K 2627, which runs through the Fischach Valley, and then flows a hundred meters later from the right and still in an east-northeast direction, about 400 meters north of a large industrial hall on a natural land platform on the northern edge of Oberfischach, at about 403  m above sea level. NHN in the upper Fischach .

Catchment area

The stream has a catchment area of around 1.7 km². Of this, over 1.2 km² are on the upper and middle reaches of the forest, which is part of the natural area of the Limpurger Mountains (natural area no. 108.60), while the almost 0.5 km² near the mouth is in the corridor to the adjacent Fischach Bay with edge heights (no. 108.61 ) counting. Both are part of the Keuper mountain landscape of the Swabian-Franconian Forest Heights (No. 108).

The greatest height in the catchment area is 495.9  m above sea level. NHN reached at its western tip on the Kohlenstrasse; behind the very short western watershed here the Antebach flows over the Adelbach to the Kocher . Everywhere else the catchment area borders the Fischach , whose water also reaches the digester much further down via the Bühler . In the northwest, behind the forest level, the Herlebacher Brühlbach competes with the upper Fischach; further to the east, beyond the shorter northern watershed, only insignificant shallow meadow ditches run to it. In the south, a ridge of hills running from Oberfischach in the east over the level of the Pfingsthalde to the exit of the Oberfischacher Weg separates from the catchment area of the downward Fischach tributary Bobach , whose upper reaches Rohrbach and further west Rotbach run immediately beyond. The source of the last is less than 200 meters south of the Lustbach origin, also on the Kohlenstraße.

About 0.4 km² of forest to the left of the upper course belong to the municipality of Michelbach an der Bilz , the rest to the Oberfischach submarket of Obersontheim . There is no settlement anywhere on the run or in the catchment area.

Origin of the Lustbach at about 492  m above sea level. NHN at the exit of the Oberfischacher Weg from the Kohlenstraße near the Muselmoor .

  • Forest inflow, from the left to about 435  m above sea level. NHN at the foot of the western Pfingsthalde , approx. 0.4 km. Arises at over 465  m above sea level. NHN at the southeastern slope of the forest level .
  • RiverIcon-SmallLake.svgFlows through below 430  m above sea level. NHN two successive fish pond at the south edge of the clearing Hasenweide together 0.2 ha.
  • Slope source inlet, from the right to over 415  m above sea level. NHN along the tree line, approx. 0.2 km. Arises at about 430  m above sea level. NHN on the middle slope of the eastern Pfingsthalde .
  • Corridor inflow, from the right to about 410  m above sea level. NHN next to the field path from Oberfischach to Hundsücken , approx. 0.4 km. Rises at about 435  m above sea level. NHN a source on the slope of the tub and runs along the dirt road.

Mouth of the Lustbach from the right and west-southwest at 403  m above sea level. NHN about 400 meters north of the outskirts of Oberfischach in the upper Fischach . The Lustbach here is 3.2 km long and has a catchment area of 1.7 km² behind it.

geology

The course of the brook lies entirely in the Keuper . It rises in the silica sandstone ( Hassberge Formation ) that forms steps on the plateau of the Limpurger Mountains and, after the corridor in the Gipskeuper ( Grabfeld Formation ), finally flows into the AU sediment of the Fischach. To the right of the lower reaches of the ridge to the neighboring Rohrbach valley to the south between Pfingsthalde and Oberfischach is extensive reed sandstone ( Stuttgart formation ).

Nature and protected areas

The open corridor on both sides of the lower reaches belongs to the Fischachtal landscape protection area with side valleys and adjacent areas between Herlebach and Kottspiel , which also includes some wooded areas west of the corridor boundary; at least in part it is a recent reforestation. Here are two extensive natural monuments, namely the protected 3.8 hectares of the Hundsrückens , mainly in the catchment area, and a marsh area of 0.8 hectares in size from the tree line from 300 meters to the right of the stream.

The entire forest course of the Lustbach and its left tributary there is a protected biotope. On this section, the Lustbach runs in a meandering bed over stony and sandy sediment, in the deeper areas often in a strip of black alder and ash . There are cattails and marsh irises near the two fish ponds . In the light, partly swampy basin around the mouth of the left inlet, a 1.9 hectare wooded area is protected as a biotope north of the two courses, in which ash trees mix with alder, spruce and sometimes also beech and mountain maple. Here temporary small channels run from the left slope through the forest. After entering the corridor, a forest ledge swamp, protected as a biotope, sets in, which is soon followed by a reed bed, both together cover approximately the area of the above-mentioned natural monument. Other protected biotopes close to the water are a number of wet meadow sections, especially to the left of the Lustbach, but also one in the tub . The open land biotope with the largest area is on the dog's back to the left of the lower reaches and extends over the watershed to the north. Here, next to tall pines, there are small shrub islands made of juniper and dog roses on a lawn. The tree population, which is becoming more closed in the south, changes to sloe hedges in the west on the slope to the creek hollow, between which an apparently overgrown hiking trail leads to Oberfischach. At other biotopes in the field there are still hedges and ravines.
