The Lustenauer Hütte is one of the eight section huts of the Vorarlberg Alpine Club of the Austrian Alpine Club .
history
The hut was built in the valley in late October 1927 by master carpenter Josef Ernst in Lustenau, then dismantled again and transported to Kehlegg by cart . The individual parts were carried by hand to the construction site on Klausberg in Schwarzenberg . The first thermal insulation that was applied at that time consisted of locally occurring, dried moss.
After Austria was liberated from the yoke of the National Socialist dictatorship , the French troops who marched in here , like others in the Bödele region, used this hut to accommodate Moroccan soldiers.
After the hut was returned, it was renovated and the ski section of the Lustenau district of the ÖAV leased the hut. In the 1960s, several other renovations were carried out (e.g. the sanitary facilities), a spring was purchased and a new water supply was laid. In 1982 an extension was built, the Lustenauer Stube . Subsequently, a sewage disposal system had to be built. In the 1990s the hut was renovated again, connected to the public electricity network (previously only a generator) and a landline telephone installed, the tiled stove in 2014 and the outdoor terrace renewed in 2017.

The Lustenauer Hütte is located in the community of Schwarzenberg in the Bregenz Forest on the Klausberg. There is no public access.
