The Lutz is the main river of the Great Walsertal in Vorarlberg .

It rises as Lägerzunbach in the Lägazun area above the Metzgertobelalpe near Buchboden and flows into the Ill after 27.7 km near Thuringia and Nenzing .

Its catchment area covers a total of around 180 km². Between Nenzing and Thuringia there is still a natural alluvial forest at the mouth .

The water of Lutz is from the illwerke vkw AG with the memory Raggal for the power plant to college Lutz and the memory Gstins for the power plant lower level Lutz used to generate electricity.
