Mill office Annaberg
The Mill Office Annaberg was a territorial administrative unit of the Electorate of Saxony located in the Erzgebirge district .
Until the end of the Saxon constitution of offices in 1856, it was the spatial reference point for the demand for sovereign taxes and compulsory services , for the police , jurisdiction and army successes .
Geographical expansion
The area of the mill office Annaberg was on a part of the present town of Annaberg-Buchholz in the Erzgebirge and closed the Pöhlberg and on the opposite bank of the Sehma located Schreckenberg one.

history
The mill office in Annaberg passed as the rule of Pöhlberg in 1411 by pledging from the Burgrave of Meißen to the Wettins . Since the division of Leipzig in 1485 it belonged to the Albertine line of the Wettins. After the "Neustadt am Schreckenberg" was founded in 1496 ( called Annaberg from 1501 ), the Pöhlberg rule was dissolved in 1499. The seat of the new office became the eponymous Herrenmühle on the Sehma . In 1553 the office was leased to the mountain town of Annaberg. In 1794 the mill office Annaberg was dissolved and integrated into the office of Wolkenstein . Some of the tasks were carried out on site until 1830.
