The first documentary mention dates from 1397 as Ruckerßwalde . The Waldhufendorf , which is probably named after a locator Rüdiger , is only partially recognizable as such. The field strips of the southern half of the corridor stretch around the Pöhlberghang. On the northern half of the corridor of Kleinrückerswalde, the town of St. Annaberg was founded in 1496 after abundant silver finds. Over the centuries, this spread more and more towards Kleinrückerswalde.

In terms of church, the place formed an independent parish until 1506 .
The church building - probably built as a fortified church - dates from the early years of the 15th century (1404 or 1414). The chronicler Christian Lehmann comments on this:
“[...] The church is built entirely of stone with a superstructure that you can defend yourself with stones. 100 years ago [around 1560] there was still a little room on top of the churches. a box with arrows could be seen, which the Hussites had collected [...] “
The building is considered
to be devoid of architecture and has been modified several times over the centuries of its existence.

August Schumann mentions Kleinrückswalde in the State, Post and Newspaper Lexicon of Saxony in 1817 concerning a. a .:

“It has 240 inhabitants, who have 131 cows, and mostly live from mining and lace making. The place has a branch church of the Hospital Church in Annaberg .
This village is much older than the city of Annaberg, was formerly called Rockerswalde and before 1400 belonged to the Palberg lordship, which belonged to a Count von Schlick, and to the lords of Schönburg-Waldenburg with Wolkenstein , but later, in 1414 was sold to the Margrave of Meissen . [...] There was only one church in the same, namely the one in Rückerswalde. However, when the city of Annaberg was built and incorporated, it changed. The pastor of Klein-Rückerswalde (Gutkös) at that time became pastor in Annaberg in 1497 and the otherwise handsome parish church of Kleinrückswalde became, along with all of its parish, [...] places, justice and income, the church or parish of St. Annaberg incorporated, according to the advice of the council from 1506 and the bishop's confirmation from 1514. [...]
In 1570 the village was bought from the Annaberg council by Elector August and made into the mill office of Annaberg . "

Albert Schiffner completed or corrected 1830 a. a .:

"Incidentally, it is wrong if the Lex. The mill office is presented as canceled; because it still exists for itself, although in the clouds. Castle and under the clouds. Bailiff. The rul. Balbergk [...] could not come to that of Schönburg-Waldeb. sold w., since these did not exist then; but the buyers were those from Schönburg on Hassenstein in Böhmen, u. it was not until August 1570 that the mill office from the 3, the annabgr. Rath bought Hauptdrfn. the rule. "

On August 1, 1906, near the eastern end of the village, the loading point of the same name was set up on the Königswalde – Annaberg-Buchholz ob Bf railway ; only freight traffic took place here until the official cessation of operations on May 1, 1995.

On January 1, 1912, Kleinrückerswalde was incorporated into Annaberg.
