history
The first documented form of place name dates from July 2, 1367 as Cunratsdorff .
Silver mining was already underway in Cunersdorf before 1530, and this was extraordinarily productive in the first half of the 16th century. From this time it is reported: "[...] there is always Heavenly Heer, which is named as the richest mine and counted among the most worthwhile mines." The Annaberg councilor Peter Lehmann (1504–1574), great-grandfather of the Pastor and chronicler Christian Lehmann . The best known treasure trove in the 16th century was Caspar Kürschner . Today the tunnel and tunnel systems are one of the "IG Altbergbau Dorotheastollen Cunersdorf" e. V. operated adventure mine .
August Schumann mentions in 1818 in the State, Post and Newspaper Lexicon of Saxony Cunersdorf concerning a. a .:
- "The village has 40 houses, 236 inhabitants and is parish after Sehma."
Until 1673 Cunersdorf belonged to the parish Schlettau, 1896 it was raised to its own parish church. It has been the sister church of the Sehma-Cunersdorf parish since 2001.
Albert Schiffner added in 1830 a. a .:
- “The place has g. 300 souls, does strong lace making and mining [mining], produces good quality. Flax , etc. was parish in Schlettau until 1666 . The place appears first in Urk. In 1308, and at that time it paid interest to the pastor from Wolkenstein. "
With the opening of the “Buchholz” station on the Zschopautalbahn on August 3, 1872, Cunersdorf also gained access to the railway network. On August 1, 1906, the loading point "Cunersdorf (b Buchholz / Sachs)" was set up near the eastern end of the village on the Sehma- Pöhlbach watershed; only goods traffic took place here until the official cessation of operations on May 1, 1995. After the closure, the route was expanded to become a cycle path.
On July 1, 1998, Cunersdorf was incorporated into Annaberg-Buchholz.
