history

The oldest surviving document, in which Müllingen is mentioned as "Muldinke", dates back to 1204, when Messrs. Grubo von Grubenhagen pledged their bailiwick rights over Müllingen. For a long time, Müllingen and the neighboring town of Wirringen separated the border between the Hildesheim Monastery and the Guelph principalities of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel .

Müllingen was incorporated into Sehnde as part of the regional reform on March 1, 1974 and thus a district of the municipality, today the city of Sehnde.
