Munich Theater for Children - Entrance

The listed building was built in Art Nouveau style from 1915 to 1917 according to plans by Oswald Schiller . Originally the Regina cinema , which became Munich's first sound film theater, was located on the ground floor . There are apartments on the upper floors.

The ground floor of the four-story building is separated from the upper floors by a cornice ; it is adorned with stone atlases . Pilasters on the ground floor suggest a wide portico . The ends of the building are highlighted on the upper floors by curved bay windows .

The rooms of the theater are decorated with blue-green majolica . Side rooms of the theater were originally intended for musicians who accompanied silent films.
