Race course

Immediately after the start, Carl Soballa (Germany / LKT Team Brandenburg) and Tony Martin (Germany / Katusha Alpecin) pulled away. A few kilometers later, Etienne van Empel (Netherlands / Rompoot) and Luca Henn (Germany / Lotto-Kern House) joined the duo. After that, the four were able to gain a maximum of five minutes ahead of the field. Martin and Soballa were overtaken by the field 20 kilometers from the finish. Van Empel and Henn were asked beforehand. At the finish there was then a mass sprint. The finish photo had to decide in the end because the first four drivers were only millimeters apart.
