Macram Max Gassis
Macram Max Gassis MCCJ (born September 21, 1938 in Khartoum ) is a Sudanese clergyman and emeritus bishop of El Obeid .
Life
Macram Max Gassis joined the order of the Comboni Missionaries , made his profession on September 9, 1957 and was ordained a priest on June 28, 1964 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Apostolic Administrator of El Obeid on October 4, 1983 . On March 12, 1988, he was appointed Bishop of El Obeid. The Apostolic Nuncio in Sudan , Luis Robles Díaz , donated him episcopal ordination on May 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Gabriel Zubeir Wako , Archbishop of Khartoum , and Joseph Abangite Gasi , Bishop of Tombura-Yambio .
On October 28, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
