Maf Räderscheidt
MAF Räderscheidt , real name Martha Angelika Felicitas Räderscheidt , (born June 20, 1952 in Augsburg ) is a German draftsman , painter and performance artist .
Life
After studying at the Cologne factory schools , which she completed as a master class student of Marianne Kohlscheen-Richter, Räderscheidt attracted attention primarily through small-format etchings . In these finely and precisely crafted works she opened up a dense, erotic panopticon with tiny details that told internal stories. Since the 1980s, the focus of her work has been on paintings , charcoal drawings , performances and installations . In 1981 she used a promotion booth at Art Basel . From 1981 to 1983 she was a lecturer in drawing perception in the art and design department at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences . In the mid-1980s she was a co-designer of the feminist magazine Emma .
In 2000, together with Stephan Everling, she published the detective novel “Midnight Mosaic” in Emons-Verlag. From June to September 2007 she hosted the first TV gallery “Rheingalerie” on the Cologne local station Center TV.
From March 2009 to October 2011 she published a new picture every day on her website in her daily painting blog "A Painting a Day Keeps the Doctor Away".
M artha A ngelika F elicitas (MAF) is the granddaughter of Marta Hegemann and Anton Räderscheidt . MAF Räderscheidt lives in Schleiden and has been a lecturer at the Heimbach International Art Academy since 2009 . From October 2010 to June 2012 she ran a public studio in Bad Münstereifel on Entenmarkt. In March 2012 she opened the “Kulturschock”, a public studio and exhibition hall on two floors in Schleiden in a former hospital, which was closed again in December 2015. In January 2017, she was awarded the Horst Konejung Prize of the Konejung Foundation: Culture for 2016. Also in 2017 she published her novel “The Kisses of Colors”.
