Margaret "Maggie" Elizabeth Lindemann (born July 21, 1998 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American singer-songwriter .

Career

Lindemann grew up in Dallas. She started singing in church choirs and musicals during her school days. During her youth, she built a fan base on various social media platforms such as Tumblr and Instagram . Manager Gerald Tennison became aware of a video uploaded there, whereupon she received an offer for a recording contract from Capitol Records in 2015 . She then moved from San Antonio to Los Angeles .

Lindemann's debut single Knocking On Your Heart was released in September 2015. On October 30, 2015, her second single, Couple of Kids, followed . On January 29, 2016, their third single, Things , was released.

In June 2016, 300 Entertainment released her song Pretty Girl , which was initially relatively unsuccessful. Various remixes of the song were released in spring 2017, including a mix by the US trio Cheat Codes in collaboration with musician Cade in March 2017 . This caused increased attention to the song and made it enter several European music charts. In the Swedish , Norwegian and Irish singles charts, the single reached the top 10 in mid-May 2017.

Private

Lindemann was in a relationship with Vine and Instagram star Carter Reynolds from spring 2014 to May 2015 . The relationship ended in a viral argument, which was picked up by various media.
